One trip or slip and the bog becomes your crypt
Darkened waters are a great place to hide
And if you're noticed they're a great place to die
Foul hidden lurkers
Hive minded workers
Millions of sharpened teeth
Hunting for their Queen
Ripples on the surface imply the horror hid beneath
Murky waters curs'd
The hideous beings screech
Carnivorous worms and ferocious ghouls
Devour their prey in the filth ridden pools
Vines that creep and dig into your wounds
Just a few different ways you'll be consumed
Insects in swarms and fungal spores galore
Choking your lungs and more still to come
Hulking beasts stalking in between the trees
Once they catch your scent your life is as good as spent
Nothing lives in the swamp of the Rotting God
Without consuming of the flesh of the Ancient One
Endless life caused by constant regeneration
Endless food for carnivorous generations

Morphing beast and man, mutations take their violent form
Different beasts make different freaks
Stabbing beaks, rending teeth, shredding claws, and gaping maws
A special accident of evolution
Made humanity a perfect specimen
Eyes and mouths, noses and ears
So many entrances for all their fears
Inhumane slaughter is waiting to begin
Just as soon as it gets underneath your skin
Bodies morphing into hideous vicious monstrosities
Bones protruding making skeletal scythes
The former humans launch their last assault
No longer in control
Staring helplessly they're torn apart
Bodies breaking cutting soon become a grisly gruel
All the whiles eyes screaming "why did I leave home?"
